Drawn up by the Westminster Assembly (1643–49) and consisting of 33 chapters, the Confession is the fullest of our doctrinal standards. I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

我信上帝，全能的父，創造天地的主；我信我主耶穌基督，上帝獨生的子；因聖靈感孕，由童貞女馬利亞所生；在本丟彼拉多手下受難，被釘於十字架上，受死，埋葬；降在陰間，第三天從死人中復活；升天，坐在全能父上帝的右邊；將來必從那裡降臨，審判活人死人。我信聖靈；我信聖而公之教會；我信聖徒相通。我信罪得赦免；我信身體復活；我信永生。阿們。

1. 01Whosoever will be saved, before all things it is necessary that he hold the catholic faith;凡人欲得救，首先當持守大公教會信仰。
2. 02Which faith except every one do keep whole and undefiled, without doubt he shall perish everlastingly.此信仰，凡守之不全不正者，必永遠沉淪。
3. 03And the catholic faith is this: that we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity;大公教會信仰即：我等敬拜一體三位，而三位一體之神。
4. 04Neither confounding the persons nor dividing the substance.其位不紊，其體不分。
5. 05For there is one person of the Father, another of the Son, and another of the Holy Spirit.父一位，子一位，聖靈亦一位。
6. 06But the Godhead of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit is all one, the glory equal, the majesty coeternal.然而父子聖靈同一神性，同一榮耀，亦同一永恆之尊嚴。
7. 07Such as the Father is, such is the Son, and such is the Holy Spirit.父如何，子如何，聖靈亦如何。
8. 08The Father uncreated, the Son uncreated, and the Holy Spirit uncreated.父不受造，子不受造，聖靈亦不受造。
9. 09The Father incomprehensible, the Son incomprehensible, and the Holy Spirit incomprehensible.父無限，子無限，聖靈亦無限。
10. 10The Father eternal, the Son eternal, and the Holy Spirit eternal.父永恆，子永恆，聖靈亦永恆。
11. 11And yet they are not three eternals but one eternal.非三永恆者，乃一永恆者。
12. 12As also there are not three uncreated nor three incomprehensible, but one uncreated and one incomprehensible.非三不受造者，非三無限者，乃一不受造者，一無限者。
13. 13So likewise the Father is almighty, the Son almighty, and the Holy Spirit almighty.如此，父全能，子全能，聖靈亦全能。
14. 14And yet they are not three almighties, but one almighty.然而，非三全能者，乃一全能者。
15. 15So the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God;如是，父是神，子是神，聖靈亦是神。
16. 16And yet they are not three Gods, but one God.然而，非三神，乃一神。
17. 17So likewise the Father is Lord, the Son Lord, and the Holy Spirit Lord;如是，父是主，子是主，聖靈亦是主。
18. 18And yet they are not three Lords but one Lord.然而，非三主，乃一主。
19. 19For like as we are compelled by the Christian verity to acknowledge every Person by himself to be God and Lord;依基督真道，我等不得不認三位均為神，均為主。
20. 20So are we forbidden by the catholic religion to say: there are three Gods or three Lords.依大公教，我等亦不得謂神有三，亦不得謂主有三。
21. 21The Father is made of none, neither created nor begotten.父非由誰作成：既非受造，亦非受生。
22. 22The Son is of the Father alone; not made nor created, but begotten.子獨由於父：非作成，亦非受造；而為受生。
23. 23The Holy Spirit is of the Father and of the Son; neither made, nor created, nor begotten, but proceeding.聖靈由於父和子：既非作成，亦非受造，亦非受生；而為發出。
24. 24So there is one Father, not three Fathers; one Son, not three Sons; one Holy Spirit, not three Holy Spirits.如是，有一父，非三父，有一子，非三子，有一聖靈，非三聖靈。
25. 25And in this Trinity none is afore or after another; none is greater or less than another.且此三位無分先後，無別尊卑。
26. 26But the whole three persons are coeternal, and coequal.三位乃均永恆，而同等。
27. 27So that in all things, as aforesaid, the Unity in Trinity and the Trinity in Unity is to be worshipped.由是如前所言，我等當敬拜一體三位，而三位一體之神。
28. 28He therefore that will be saved must thus think of the Trinity.所以凡欲得救者，必如是而思三位一體之神。
29. 29Furthermore it is necessary to everlasting salvation that he also believe rightly the incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ.再者，為求得永恆救贖，彼亦必篤信我等之主耶穌基督成為人身。
30. 30For the right faith is that we believe and confess that our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is God and man.依真正信仰，我等信認神之子我等之主耶穌基督，為神，又為人。
31. 31God of the substance of the Father, begotten before the worlds; and man of the substance of his mother, born in the world.其為神，與聖父同體，受生於諸世界之先；其為人，與其母同體，誕生於此世界。
32. 32Perfect God and perfect man, of a reasonable soul and human flesh subsisting.全神，亦全人，具有理性之靈，血肉之身。
33. 33Equal to the Father as touching his Godhead, and inferior to the Father as touching his manhood.依其為神，與父同等，依其為人，少遜於父。
34. 34Who, although he is God and man, yet he is not two, but one Christ.彼雖為神，亦為人，然非為二，乃為一基督。
35. 35One, not by conversion of the Godhead into flesh, but by taking of that manhood into God.彼為一，非由於變神為血肉，乃由於使其人性進入於神。
36. 36One altogether, not by confusion of substance, but by unity of person.合為一：非由二性相混，乃由於位格為一。
37. 37For as the reasonable soul and flesh is one man, so God and man is one Christ;如靈與身成為一人，神與人成為一基督。
38. 38Who suffered for our salvation, descended into hell, rose again the third day from the dead;彼為救我等而受難，降至陰間，第三日從死裡復活。
39. 39He ascended into heaven, he sits on the right hand of the Father, God, Almighty;升天，坐於全能神父之右。
40. 40From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.將來必從彼處降臨，審判活人死人。
41. 41At whose coming all men shall rise again with their bodies;彼降臨時，萬人必具身體復活；
42. 42And shall give account of their own works.並供認所行之事。
43. 43And they that have done good shall go into life everlasting, and they that have done evil into everlasting fire.行善者必入永生，作惡者必入永火。
44. 44This is the catholic faith, which except a man believe faithfully he cannot be saved.此乃大公教會之信仰，人除非篤實相信，必不能得救。

I believe in one God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible: and in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of his Father before all worlds, God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made; who for us men, and for our salvation came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Ghost of the Virgin Mary, and was made man, and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; he suffered and was buried, and the third day he rose again according to the Scriptures, and ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of the Father; and he shall come again with glory to judge both the quick and the dead, whose kingdom shall have no end. And I believe in the Holy Ghost, the Lord and giver of life, who proceedeth from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified, who spake by the Prophets. And I believe one holy catholic and apostolic Church. I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins. And I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

我信獨一上帝，全能的父，創造天、地，和有形、無形萬物的主。我信獨一主耶穌基督，上帝的獨生子，在萬世以前為父所生，出於神而為神，出於光而為光，出於真神而為真神，受生而非被造，與父同一本體，萬物都是藉著祂造的；祂為要拯救我們世人，從天降臨，因著聖靈，並從童女馬利亞成肉身，而為人；在本丟彼拉多手下，為我們釘於十字架上，受難，埋葬；照聖經第三天復活；並升天，坐在父的右邊；將來必有榮耀再降臨，審判活人死人；祂的國度永無窮盡。我信聖靈，賜生命的主，從父和子而出，與父子同受敬拜，同受尊榮，祂曾藉眾先知說話。我信獨一、神聖、大公、使徒的教會；我認使罪得赦的獨一洗禮；我望死人復活，並來世生命。阿們。

Therefore, following the holy fathers, we all with one accord teach men to acknowledge one and the same Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, at once complete in Godhead and complete in manhood, truly God and truly man, consisting also of a reasonable soul and body; of one substance with the Father as regards his Godhead, and at the same time of one substance with us as regards his manhood; like us in all respects, apart from sin; as regards his Godhead, begotten of the Father before the ages, but yet as regards his manhood begotten, for us men and for our salvation, of Mary the Virgin, the God-bearer; one and the same Christ, Son, Lord, Only-begotten, recognized in two natures, without confusion, without change, without division, without separation; the distinction of natures being in no way annulled by the union, but rather the characteristics of each nature being preserved and coming together to form one person and subsistence, not as parted or separated into two persons, but one and the same Son and Only-begotten God the Word, Lord Jesus Christ; even as the prophets from earliest times spoke of him, and our Lord Jesus Christ himself taught us, and the creed of the fathers has handed down to us.

我們跟隨聖教父，同心合意教導人宣認同一位子，我們的主耶穌基督，有完全的神性，也有完全的人性；真是神，也真是人；有理性的靈魂，也有身體；按神性說，與父本體相同；按人性說，與我們本體相同，凡事與我們一樣，只是沒有罪；按神性說，在萬世之先，為父所生；按人性說，在這末後的日子，為了拯救我們，由上帝之母童女馬利亞所生；這位基督，既是子，又是主，也是神的獨生子；具有二性，不相混亂，不相交換；不能分開，不能離散；二性的區別不因聯合而消失，各性的特點反而得以保存，會合於一個位格、一個實質之內，不是分離成為兩個位格，而是同一位子，是神的獨生子，是道，是上帝，是主耶穌基督；正如眾先知一開始論到祂時所講的，也如主耶穌基督自己所教訓我們的，又如諸聖教父的信經所傳給我們的。
